How big do you think is the internet?

Did you know that the information that you can access using google or bing , comprises of only 4-5% of the internet.
Most of the information is hidden deep in the web and cannot be crawled through google's crawlers/spiders. Around 90% of the information in the internet is available in the deep web.
It is impossible to measure the size of the deep web because the majority of the information is hidden or locked inside databases.

Accessing the deep/dark web:

The information in the deep or dark web can be accessed using special browsers such as Tor. Also known as the anonymity network.Tor makes it more difficult for Internet activity to be traced back to the user: this includes "visits to Web sites, online posts, instant messages, and other communication forms". Tor is used to protect the personal privacy of users, as well as their freedom and abilities to conduct confidential communication by not allowing their internet activities from being monitored.

Sites used in dark web:

Distinction:

The deep web is different from dark web. The dark web is the encrypted network that exists between Tor servers and their clients, whereas deep web is the content of databases or other web services that cannot be indexed by conventional search engines.
